Brochure REGISTRATION INFO

Registration FORM

We have a very dynamic conference this year. Chief Gordon Ramsey will kick off our conference talking about the Homeless Outreach Team of the WPD, followed by Robin Walker a Family Med physician who will help us understand the special medical challenge to the homeless dialogue. We will explore the ethical dilemmas found with commercial (think 23andME) and medical genetic testing with Jed Delmore MD and Carla Bell a Genetic Counselor, we have a Neonatologist/ethicist that will talk about the ethical consequences of the incredible technology of the NICU, Val Gleason RN, CEO and President of Newton Medical Center will give us her story about getting THAT call and how all of the parental advance planning went awry. We actually have a tool kit to give our participants for how to conduct a conversation about serious illnesses planning! We wrap up with a local humorist helping us to stay healthy while doing this important work. Announcing our Kansas ethics Educator of the Year.

Testimonials

We are extremely pleased with the care that my uncle has received at ComfortCare Homes. We feel that the small environment is easier for him to navigate, provides individualized care, and doesn’t have an “institutional” feel while providing all the services that the larger memory care facilities provide. During the past year, my uncle has had ups and downs. At one point he needed additional care and was moved to Founder’s Crest, but upon regaining his strength, was able to move back to his original ComfortCare Home. Everyone from the nursing staff, to the office staff, to the maintenance man was helpful during that time. I am so happy that we chose ComfortCare Homes!
